Let Japan Set You Free – Day 6

Kita melakukan banyak persiapan bekel makanan sebelum naek kereta nya, haha!

Cukuplah ya pastinya, mau makan waktu berapa lama sih selfie depan shinkansen aja?

Pucuk dicinta ulam tiba, shinkansen nya dateng dong… as per our plan ya, kita langsung melaju ke muka kereta, Pau setting kamera, kita juga rusuh setting posisi. Agak lama juga nunggu Pau selesai, sampe kita ga tahan.

“Pau, buruan, penumpang tinggal kite doang iniii…” rusuh teriakan kita.

Ga lama kita disuruh siap – siap.

“Ya ude nih,lu orang ude siap belom?” kata si Pau.

“Siaapppppp!”

Dapet lah cerita nya beberapa kali jepretan. Gusti! Kocar kacir lah kita berempat, narik – narik koper yang yassalam berat nye, ke gerbong terdekat yang penting badan ude masuk dalem kereta dulu lah. Tepat gue yang terakhir masuk plus koper, pintu kereta ditutup.

Jreeekk!

Hening tiga detikan…

Amaaan!

“Yeeeee….” teriak kita kompak sambil ketawa gilaaa! Kaya manusia yang ga ngerti bahaya gitu. Kelakuan nye! Hadeuh!

Maaf, bukan nya sombong sih, tapi idung gue super sensitive. Ya ilah… mana ngerti bahasa jawa sih mereka berdua… haha! Kalo mau gosipin orang pastinya keluarin bahasa maut yang sulit di translate, even pake google translate. Wek!

So homey di Osaka. Tapi overall not too bad lah ya. Oh… something smell not good! Ternyata blanket nya berbau agak amis – amis air laut gitu, ga tau lah gimana deskripsiin nya, pokoknya mengganggu idung gue.

Sempet rebutan posisi tidur, penting ga siii.

Muka kita lelah semua.

English version

The next plan is still going to Kawaguchiko, Disneysea, and exploring Downtown Tokyo. So the 6th day we have to move from Osaka to Tokyo. Estimated time arrival in Tokyo was during the day, headed straight for the apartment, and continues exploration in the city. Traveling from Osaka to Tokyo is as usual still using the JR Pass.

We do a lot of preparing homemade food before going on the train, ha-ha! Traumatized from buying food in the train. This time we also made sure that we are not in the wrong lane, and knew the correct departure time.

So we planned to take a picture of us in front of the Shinkansen, we will rush to the front of the train. Take photos, then take the suitcase and go straight to the car. Well we are actually preparing, so we do not miss. Because the train only stop for about 10 minutes. In our heads it was enough time to eat and take a picture before going in the train.

Yess!! It finally arrived … as per our plan, we immediately ran to the front of the train, Pau sets the camera, but it took sooooo… Long that we got agitated and shouted at him

“Pau, hurryy!! We’re the only passengers left outside of the train” screamed everyone else to Pau.

But Pau wasn’t bothered at all. Not long after we were told to be ready.

“Done, are you all ready?” Said Pau.

“Readyyyy!!!!”

So we got a couple of snaps. After hearing an announcement that the train is going to leave in less the – aware there is an announcement if the train will depart in less then 10 seconds, we took the suitcases and ran to the nearest train cars and the door closed exactly after my last suitcase entered.

Jreeekk!

Silence for three seconds…

Saveddd!

“Yeeeaaayy ….” We shouted together while laughing like crazy! Like people who do not understand the danger. OMG! Our behavior so embarrassing.

On the train we sit face to face, while chit chatting a lot of things. Traveling about 3 hours to arrival at Tokyo station. We stopped at a station and about a group of backpackers around 15 to 20 persons entered with their gigantic bodies we suddenly felt dwarfed and also from being peaceful and comfortable it became crowded and smelly and noisy so we all just sat quietly covering our nose with our scarfs praying to dear god this madness will end soon.

Sorry, it’s not being cocky, but i have a  super sensitive nose. My sense of smell is stronger then – my friend in general. Dee is also sensitive, but I almost vomited a couple of times. Situation went better after their group sit quietly and fell asleep. We can return to normal again, while still being alerted by the stench, but at least we can chat again in the end so me and Dee started talking in Javanese to gossip about people which no one else understood so they wont know because its still nonsense even when u translate it with google translate.

Arriving in Tokyo station, we should’ve taken another train to go to Tokyo Gyoemmae which was the nearest exit to our apartment but because we did not speak the language we just went of the train and walked of. It was quite a long walk with free Wi-Fi from the stations we used out phones and finally reached the apartment the surroundings were great, lots of local restaurants, bars, seven elevens, family marts, and we might’ve passed a shopping Center but didn’t notice as we were tired from the entire medium sized suitcase dragging.

In the room, we took some pictures and first impressions were great. Good lighting, but relatively small if u were to compare to ones in Osaka. Osaka is so homey. But overall not too bad but then there was a fishy smell and it turned out to be the blankets it was like a fishy sea breeze scent which we didn’t like and decided to spray perfume rather then getting nauseous and dizzy.

The bathrooms have good standards in japan they have a separate shower and toilet. The sink was also separated, but was still in the same room with doors blocking it from another. Quite useful actually when someone is taking a bath, and the other is dying to “p ** p” they can do it in the same time without disturbing the other’s privacy

We fought about who would sleep where like is it important? Because the apartment is only 1 bed room and there are 4 of us, with additional bed and futon in the Central room. The condition of his room is cramped; Dee isn’t comfortable with me being her roommate in that narrows room, because of a few reasons. So the guys had to sleep there instead. Ha-ha… Dee and I in the outer room, and it was a dead price, so Dee wanted so sleep on the futon. Well after finding out the extra bed is fragile and shaky she wasn’t wrong. With my body size I can still move it around just by moving around. Kinda dizzy because of all the moving around. And quite paranoid also didn’t help, as in Japan quite a lot of earthquake happened, which made me suddenly scared and say “guys…. is it earthquake??? “OMG!!”

In the evening we went to the streets of Shibuya area, which was near from the apartment. Because we haven’t bought any souvenir, so we looked for Miniso, Daiso, and night market. Actually I’m a little lazy to bring souvenirs after traveling but it’s quite a tradition to do so, I’m not stingy. But it makes the suitcases heavy. Why japan is considered to be an expensive country is also as a result of buying souvenirs, but to not bring anything is also not right. So we ended up buying souvenirs for families and friends.

Lots of choices for dinner in Shibuya from KFC, MCDonald, to local restaurants are all there. After dinner, we proceed across the legendary Shibuya junction. We thought of taking cool pictures here, but wasn’t in the right mood. We fantasized too much but when we arrived the location we were so far from what fantasized so far. All the pedestrians crossed very quickly and were rather difficult to take pictures with the Panning technique using a camera phone without a tripod. So we decided to just cross the streets normally.
